The abductors of the wives and daughters of Malam Ibrahim Tanko, Sarkin Hausawa of Anguwar Azara in Jere along the Abuja-Kaduna highway, have demanded N500 million.

Malam Tanko, who disclosed this through telephone to our reporter on Sunday, said the kidnappers called one of his aides on Saturday and demanded the ransom.

Malam Tanko said, “I told the kidnappers I had no such money. One of them said I should go amnd source for it.”

City & Crime  had reported that bandits, last Wednesday, raided the residence of Malm Tanko and abducted his two wives and four daughters, but one of the wives was released after the bandits realised was suffering from high blood pressure.

The spokesman of the police in Kaduna State, ASP Mohammed Jalige, could not be reached to react on the development.
