The APC chairmanship candidate for Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Suleiman Umar Awallo, has received his certificate of return, two years after the election was conducted.
Awallo, who was substituted by the party before the local government elections in Nasarawa State, won series of legal tussle before he was declared winner of the February 2014 election in Keffi.
The chairman of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC), Dr Abdullahi Modibbo, gave Awallo the certificate after an appeal court judgment in Makurdi, Benue State, upheld the December 2, 2014, decision of a Keffi High Court II, ordering the commission to recognize Awallo as the duly elected chairman.
