The Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC) has dissolved its executive members in Kebbi and suspended the election of new officials.
Mr Ademola Abidemi, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee of IPAC announced this in Birnin Kebbi.
The election of state chapter of IPAC was billed to take place on Tuesday in Birnin Kebbi but midway into it, it was suspended.
He said that the decision was taken to address some irregularities involving tenure of office by the former executive members in the state.
Abidemi said that the national body of the council would set up caretaker committee to be saddled with the affairs of the members in the state.
He said 15 chairmen of political parties voted that the election be held, while 40 of them supported the suspension of the election until the discrepancies in its procedures are cleared by the IPAC National headquarters.
He said the national body of IPAC would set up caretaker committee to manage and direct the affairs of the state council until election is held.
