With the emergence of a  new government in Nigeria, I believe the administration must prioritize diplomacy and international relations. Nigeria has much to offer to the world, including its abundant natural resources; a large population of talented and hardworking people, and a rich cultural heritage.

I believe that by engaging in beneficial diplomacy, Nigeria can leverage these strengths to build strong relationships with other countries and promote its economic and social development.

Let me emphasise that diplomacy is not just about signing treaties and agreements, but also about building relationships based on mutual trust, respect, and understanding.

Nigeria can benefit significantly from engaging in cultural diplomacy, which involves promoting its culture and values abroad and building bridges between people of different cultures.

Nigeria has a rich cultural heritage, including music, art, literature, and cuisine, which can be used to promote its soft power and enhance its international reputation.

The importance of economic diplomacy includes promoting trade, investment, and economic cooperation with other countries. In terms of trade, I believe that Nigeria should focus on diversifying its exports and reducing its reliance on oil.

I suggest that the government should identify new markets for its products and services and work to improve the competitiveness of Nigerian businesses.

Nigeria has great potential to become a major player in the global economy, but this requires a concerted effort to promote its economic interests abroad. Adetunji suggests that the Nigerian government should focus on building strong relationships with other African countries and emerging economies such as India and Brazil.

Nigeria should create a more favourable environment for foreign investors.

I suggest that the government should reduce bureaucratic hurdles, improve infrastructure, and provide incentives for investors.

This advocacy for beneficial diplomacy is even more crucial for Nigeria, as the country faces numerous challenges, including insecurity, corruption, and economic instability.

I believe that by engaging in productive and effective diplomacy, Nigeria can address these challenges and build a better future for its people.
