Imo state government is set to secure loans from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Bank of Agriculture for the revival of Adapalm Plantation.
Already a combined team of Bank from Agriculture and CBN visited Imo State to interface with representatives of the state government on how to revive the oil palm industry that once was a pride of the state.
The Senior Special Assistants to Governor Emeka Ihedioha on Public Enlightenment, Prince Eze Ugochukwu, said the meeting was on how the financial institutions could assist Imo government to fully revamp and strengthen the production capacity and profitability capability of Adapalm Industry.
He said since the inception of the RebuildImo administration, the fortune of Adapalm Industry has begun to take a new turn for the better.
Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Chief Emmanuel Nwaogu, the visit will forge a good link between the banks and the industry, to determine what new means are possible.
