An officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abdulrahman Mohammed and his pregnant wife have been killed in a ghastly motor accident along Minna-Suleja Road.

Their three-year-old son, simply identified as Amar, who survived the accident had been admitted at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida Specialist Hospital, Minna, the Niger State capital.

Mohammed, an indigene of Lapai, Niger State, who served with the Kaduna State command of the Corps, said the deceased was returning to his state of service after attending a wedding in Minna with his family when he hit a tanker parked by the roadside between Farin-Doki and Suleja.

A source from Lapai, Mohammed Hassan Sonmaji, told Daily Trust that “the accident occurred between Farin Doki village and Suleja around 11am on Sunday.”
