A former correspondent with Aminiya, a Hausa publication by Media Trust Limited, Mohammad Danladi Ibrahim, is dead.

He died in a car accident Thursday evening.

Witnesses said Danladi died on the spot after an over speeding oncoming vehicle collided with his vehicle opposite Maryam Babangida Girls Science College, Minna.

Mohammad Danladi Ibrahim was a freelance reporter with Aminiya before he joined the African Independent Television (AIT) in 2019 as the Niger State correspondent.

The Niger State Correspondents’ Chapel in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary, Yakubu Mustapha Bina and Daniel Atori, described the deceased as a dedicated, hardworking and gentle colleague and a pious Muslim who stood for what he believed in.

He is survived by a wife, five children and an aged mother.
