Footstool Estates, a fast-growing real estate company and owners of Montay, have formed a formidable partnership with ABJ City Stars to discover top-quality football talents in Nigeria who will subsequently be transferred to play abroad.

In a statement issued at the weekend, the Abuja-based company disclosed that this latest initiative is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The Managing Director/CEO of Footstool Estates, Zichat Jehu Augustine, said the company wants to use the power of football to unite Nigerians who are very passionate about the game of football.

“Football is the greatest unifier of over 200 million Nigerians, who are very passionate about our national sport.

“We now plan to make the most of this passion by partnering with major stakeholders in the Nigeria football ecosystem to ensure we discover quality talents that abound across Nigeria.

“This we plan to do through regular scouting tournaments and other novel football projects to the benefit of our immediate communities.

“As a company, we are always known for premium quality and that is also what we will aim for as we venture into football development in Nigeria,” he said.

In this regard, Footstool Estates will headline a scouting tournament involving over 30 clubs from across Nigeria to be attended by as many as 10 top foreign clubs, scouts and agents, whose connections include France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Russia.

According to Footstool Estates, the scouting tournament will be staged at the Area 3 Sports Ground in Abuja between November 21 and 25.
