FG delegation visits Kebbi over market fire incident

A Federal Government delegation led by the Interior Minister, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Bello Danbazau yesterday visited Kebbi State to sympathize with people of the state over the fire incident that destroyed goods and properties at the Central Market in Birnin Kebbi last Friday.

The delegation visited the affected market and later met with Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu at the Government House to deliver President Muhammadu Buhari’s message.

The Minister who said the delegation had earlier paid similar visit to Kano, told the Kebbi State government of possible federal government assistance to the affected traders.

In his response, Governor Bagudu said the state had already set up a committee to provide relief to affected traders and to work at restoring trading activities at the market.
