A 50-year-old farmer, Yakubu Baba, has been hacked to death by suspected herders in Jeje village in Karshi Ward of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the FCT.

A relative of the deceased, Yunusa Danladi, said the incident happened on Thursday when the victim went to his farm.

He explained that the family who waited for his return up till 7pm mobilised vigilantes to the farm.

He said, “It was on getting to the farm that the man was found lying in the pool of his blood without machete cuts all over his body.

“We alerted the police who came to the scene before we conveyed the corpse back home.

However, there was no response from the spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine, over the incident.
