A 33-years-old man, Paul Ade, said to be parading himself as a soldier in Ogbomosho area of Oyo State has been arrested by the police.
The police commissioner, Ngozi Onadeko, who paraded the suspect, said he was caught with an Infinix cell phone belonging to one Olayiwola Mary.

According to her, the suspect had always been parading himself as a serving military personnel and when search warrant was executed in his house, military exhibits were recovered.
The police boss said exhibits caught with the suspect were two pairs of military camouflage uniforms, one military cardigan, one empty pistol jacket, two military face caps, one military raincoat, one lanyard, one military camouflage knicker, one smokebox, and one Infinix Hot0-5 phone.
“Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and also confirmed that he had been using the military uniforms and accoutrements to disguise as a serving soldier so as to conceal his criminal activities. Investigation is now in progress,” he said.
But reacting to his arrest, the suspect said “I bought the phone from somebody. When they arrested me, I told them to follow me to where I bought the phone but they didn’t answer me.
“After that, they checked through the phone and saw a picture I took with military uniform. They asked me about the uniform and I told them it belongs to my friend serving in Borno State.
“They asked me to follow them to my house and they searched my room and met all these uniforms. I only use the uniform to take pictures. I have given the police my friend’s phone number. They can call to confirm with him.
“I have been using the phone for the last eight months. I never knew it was a stolen phone. I bought the phone from somebody.”
