Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has urged the people to elect competent individuals during the forthcoming local government polls.
He gave this charge when he received members of the Mada South Unity Forum.

“I would prefer to see the people elect chairmen who have the experience and capacity to exploit and harness resources found in each of the councils, rather than depend on monthly subventions to pay salaries,’’ he said.
While stressing that his administration would be transparent and fair in the conduct of the forthcoming elections, he appealed to the people to ensure that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) field only competent candidates.
In his response, the Mada South Unity Forum, led by the District Head of Akwanga, Sir Anthony Yamusa, emphasized the need to conduct a credible election.
