An Ekiti State high court sitting in Ado Ekiti has sentenced two persons for conspiracy, burglary, and stealing.

An Ekiti State high court sitting in Ado Ekiti has sentenced two persons for conspiracy, burglary, and stealing.

Osho Olutobi, 23, and Abiodun Sunday, 35, were sentenced to five and 30 years imprisonment, respectively.

In his judgement, Justice Lekan Ogunmoye said the mere fact that Sunday received stolen goods from Olutobi would not, without more, translate to the fact that the two conspired to commit felonies.

According to the charge, the defendants between July and September 2019 at Omisanjana Area of Ado Ekiti, broke into Deeper Life Bible Church and houses of Mary Ademola, Joseph Glory and Pastor Ajayi Okeowo where they stole items including mobile phones, 2 bags of rice, insecticides, 2 Plasma Televisions and one generator.

He said the offences are contrary to Sections 516,411,390(9), 413 and 415 Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.
