The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Wednesday, said that eight firms have made presentations to it on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
This follows the commission’s decision to invite the original manufacturers of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) around the world for a virtual or practical demonstration to enable the commission evaluate the available technology for electronic voting.

Festus Okoye, said that the eight companies made presentations through physical and virtual means.
He assured that the commission will continue to update Nigerians on the ongoing process in line with its efforts to deepen the use of technology in elections.
Daily Trust reports that INEC had on Monday said that it has commenced process to replace manual with electronic voting system in the country.
