The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said no fewer than 171,922 delegates will elect the party’s candidate for the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State this Saturday.
The National Organising Secretary of the party, Sulaiman Argungu, disclosed this on Thursday during the inauguration of a 7-member governorship primary election committee headed by Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, and a primary election appeals committee.
naugurating the committees, the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, charged members to collaborate and be focused to ensure a hitch-free process.
Responding, Ododo said the committee would strictly adhere to the provisions of the APC constitution to ensure that the best candidate emerged.

Also speaking during the event, the APC National Secretary, Ajibola Bashiru, clarified that the inauguration of the committee was not illegal since Ganduje had secured an order from a Federal High Court setting aside his suspension.
