Diezani sues EFCC, AGF, demands N100bn

Former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke has demanded the sum of N100 billion in damages against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Attorney General of the Federation.

In the suit filed by his counsel, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), Diezani also wants the court to compel the EFCC to publish an unreserved apology in at least three national newspapers including THISDAY, The Punch and The Sun newspapers within seven days from the date of judgment.

She said the EFCC publications against her were made to denigrate, disgrace, embarrass, humiliate and subject her to public ridicule, odium, opprobrium and derision in the eyes of right-thinking members of the public and the society at large.
