Esther Nworgu has set a new World Record at the Delta 2022 National Sports Festival (NSF) Para Powerlifting.
She lifted 115kg in the women’s 41kg category, breaking her own record of 114kg she set earlier this year at the African Para Powerlifting Championship held in Cairo, Egypt.
Arekemase Omowunmi from Delta won silver while Ganiyu Anifat from Osun won Bronze
In the same vein, Ogun state para powerlifter, Tijani Latifat won gold in the female powerlifting 45kg category.
