Daura United football will be punching above their weight this afternoon as they host Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) giants, Katsina United in a pre-season friendly match.
The Chairman of FC Daura United, Alhaji Sani Abu Daura, said the match is organised for the two clubs to test some of the players they have recruited for the new season.

“To us, this is a special friendly match which is arranged for our team, Daura United, to test their might against a more formidable opponent in the NPFL.
“In addition, it is a pre-season match which will afford the teams the opportunity to test new players. We also want our young players to learn a thing or two from their more experienced opponents,” he said
Daura disclosed that dignitaries like the Commissioner of Sports in Katsina State, Hon. Sani Aliyu Danlami, Special Assistant to the governor on sports, Hon. Amadu Adidas, Hon. Sade Gambo Daura, Katsina United Chairman, Abdulsamad Badamasi and Hon. Muhammed Dahuru will grace the match.
He also said Dan-Madamin Katsina, Alhaji Usman Usman Nagogo, the District Head of Dadara will be the Royal Father of the day.
The match will kick-off at 4pm at the Daura township stadium.
