Dana Air may soon resume operations following the conclusion of its internal Safety Management Systems (SMS) Training for top management staff and post holders.
This was part of preparation for the resumption of flight operations by the airline after it was suspended by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

The Accountable Manager of the airline Ememobong Ettete confirmed that the airline had made tremendous progress in the audit of its operation as directed by the NCAA.
In a statement, he said, “We have just concluded our Safety Management Systems training for top management staff and post holders.
“The NCAA audit is also still ongoing and we have made a huge progress having upped the ante on all our processes and procedures, but the SMS training is a periodic training for staff to enhance their knowledge on safety both in the office and across all aspects of our operations.”
Daily Trust reports that the SMS training was observed by the NCAA with newly appointed Directors of Safety and Quality; Maintenance and Engineering; Flight Operations, as well as Chief Pilot and Safety Manager in attendance.
“We wish to once again thank our loyal customers, clients, partners, and vendors for their patience and understanding in the course of the ongoing audit and reassure them that as a responsible corporate citizen and a proudly Nigerian brand, we remain committed to the relationships we have built for the past 14 years of our operations,” the Accountable Manager added.
Director-General of NCAA, Capt. Musa Nuhu had last week given an update on the airline, saying, “We are working with Dana assiduously to see how the issue can be resolved.”
