President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reappointment of Dr. Abubakar Abdul-Dzukogi, as the Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Bida in Niger state for another term of four years.

The statement from the office of the Registrar, signed by Hussaini Muhammed-Enagi said that the reappointment of Dr. Dzukogi was contained in a letter signed by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, a copy of which was made available to newsmen on Thursday in Bida.

According to the statement, “I write to convey to you the approval of Mr. President, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, for your reappointment as Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger state.

“The appointment is for a second and last tenure of four (4) years, with effect from 21st May, 2019 in line with the Federal Polytechnic Act CAP. F.17, section 8(b)”.

It added also that, “I am to inform you that your appointment will terminate on 15th February, 2021, after attaining the mandatory age of sixty five (65) years in line with condition of service in polytechnic sector”.

The statement also stated that the minister urged the rector to work hard to justify the confidence reposed in him and as well wish him a most successful tenure.

It will be recalled that Dr Dzukogi was first appointed Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Bida by the Federal Government of Nigeria on May 22, 2015.

The statement on behalf of the management, staff and students congratulate the Rector on his well deserved reappointment which was based on his track record of achievements and wish him well.
