Bandits release pictures of abducted Kebbi teachers, students

An unspecified number of students and four staff were kidnapped when gunmen overpowered security operatives at the school last week.

The gunmen who abducted students of the Federal Government College, Birin Yauri, Kebbi State, have released pictures of some of their victims.

An unspecified number of students and four staff were kidnapped when gunmen overpowered security operatives at the school last week.

The military authorities later said some of the victims were rescued after a gunfight with the attackers.

Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi has assured the parents and family members of the victim of government’s efforts to secure their release.

A teacher of the school, who did not want to be named, confirmed the identities of the victims to Daily Trust on Monday.
