A former vice president and the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has promised to improve power supply and provide critical infrastructure in Nasarawa State if elected president. 

Atiku made the pledge on Monday while addressing a mammoth crowd at the party’s campaign rally in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

The PDP presidential flag bearer also pledged to construct some inter-state roads in the North Central to boost socio-economic activities in the zone.

He said: “If elected as a president of Nigeria, my administration will set aside N10 billion US dollars to create jobs for teeming unemployed youths and women to enable them to become self-reliant.

“Let me also announce that I will construct a road that will link Nasarawa State to other neighbouring states. I am appealing to you to vote for me and all PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections.”

He urged voters in the state not to give APC their mandate in 2023.

The PDP gubernatorial candidate in Nasarawa, Mr David Ombugadu, appealed to the presidential candidate of the party, Mr Atiku Abubakar to construct a road that links Doma with Benue State and the one from Doma to Nasarawa Local Government Area.
