APC unveils national executives of 2,000 amalgamated support groups

• 2023 elections: Tinubu’s daughter confident of victory

Barely less than 20 days to 2023 presidential elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled National Executives of Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG) and inaugurated North –Central Zonal leadership Abuja.

Speaking at the event, the Director General, Amalgamated APC Support Group, Dr. Nasir Ladan Mohammed said the AASG has about 2000 support groups that came together to operate, work and move at the same time and talk with one voice.

He said AASG is a group that is recognized by the National Working Committee of the party to collate, organize and monitor the activities of all support groups that are registered with the party.

He also faulted insinuation that some elements are desperate to stop the elections from holding, maintaining that elections must hold unless there is a concrete reason.

“Elections must be held. The only body that can say something as far as the elections are concerned is the INEC and I read several times that the Chairman of the commission Professor Yakubu said they are good to go.”

Speaking at the event, Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, charged supporters of the party nationwide to intensify door-to-door campaign, voter education and go for victory in the coming elections.

Tinubu Ojo, who is also the head of Lagos State Markets (Iyaloja General of Nigeria), who came to the venue in company of women groups and other party supporters, said members should see themselves as the party’s foot soldiers and strive to work harder, especially now that victory is near.

“Various support groups who are doing very well in mobilising and winning more voters into the APC fold are doing a good job. I hope others should also take a cue so that together we can seal the victory for the Tinubu-Shettima presidency,” she said.

In his acceptance speech, the Zonal Coordinator, Hon. Suliman Isyaka Okutepa, said North Central remains the political laboratory where the Victory of every election is being determined. This is due to our population strength and Culture as a predominant APC zone, “we shall therefore, navigate all terrain to ensure our victory in coming general elections.
