A 25-year-old suspected internet fraudster, identified as Sesan Bakare, has allegedly killed his co-tenant in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Daily Trust gathered that Bakare, at the weekend, allegedly killed the victim, a woman, and kept her corpse in a ‘Ghana-must-go’ bag in an abandoned building in the town.

A resident, who pleaded anonymity, said the suspect was nabbed after the woman was declared missing in the neighbourhood.

“The incident happened at Molasuru. It was shocking when we woke up and heard that the woman had been killed and used by the Yahoo boy,” he said.

Following the incident, it was gathered that some angry residents mobilised to burn down a house belonging to the father of the suspect.

Confirming the incident on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, said the suspect had been apprehended by the police.

She added that the suspect was being interrogated by a team of police detectives in the state command.

“Her (victim’s) corpse was found inside an uncompleted building close to the house shortly after she was declared missing by her family members.

“Meanwhile, the boy was suspected in the murder case because a sister to the victim had claimed they saw a blood stain on his foot during the process of looking for the lady.

“But our men in Ore have arrested the boy and he will be transferred to the headquarters here in Akure for further investigation,” Odunlami-Omisanya said.
