The Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the FCT has proposed N12,393,587,671 as budget for the 2023 fiscal year.
AMAC’s Chairman, Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, while presenting the budget to the council’s legislature on Friday, said the amount represented a nominal increase of 1.88 per cent above the previous estimate.

He explained that recurrent expenditure would gulp N4,685,848,878, representing 37.81 per cent; while capital expenditure would gulp N7,707,738,792, representing 62.19 per cent.
