Bandits’ base around Kambari village in Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State has been destroyed in an airstrike launched by the Nigerian Air Force.

Daily Trust Saturday gathered that the airstrike, which started three days ago,  was targeted at bandits’ bases during which many bandits were reported killed.

Our correspondent learnt that three locals riding on motorcycles were killed around Kwatan Nanido in Gassol local government during the airstrike.

The bandits, it was further gathered, have been in Kambari axis for the past two months and were said to have been responsible for most kidnappings and killings in many villages across Bali, Gassol and Karim Lamido local government areas of the state.

Effort to contact spokesperson of the Nigerian Air Force failed.

Spokesperson of Taraba police command DSP Usman Abdullahi said the command was aware of the operation, adding that it was purely an Air force operation.
