Taraba State governor Agbu Kefas has approved the Almirul Hajj team for the 2024 Mecca Pilgrimage.
A press statement issued on Friday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Yusuf Sanda, said Alhaji Zubairu Mohammed Hammangabdo (Lamdo Gashaka) was appointed the Almirul Hajj.
Members of the committee are Alhaji Ado Adamu Mazang (Chief of Mummuye) and Alhaji Garba Bawuro (Chief of Ibbi).
Meanwhile, 1002 pilgrims have registered for this year’s Hajj.

The public relations officer of the Taraba State Muslims pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Umar Baba Muri, told Daily Trust Saturday that 1,568 Hajj seats were allocated to the state by the National Hajj Commission.
He however said out of the 1568 seats allocated the state, 1002 intending pilgrims were registered by the Board out of which 886 are self sponsored while 113 were sponsored by the Taraba State government.
