Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration is spearheading a comprehensive urban renewal initiative in Adamawa State, marked by the ongoing road expansion and construction of modern drainage systems along Target Junction to the newly built Flyover at the former Mubi Roundabout.
Under the stewardship of Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar, Commissioner of Works and Energy Development, the project aims to transform and beautify the state capital, while enhancing road safety.
The upgraded drainage infrastructure is designed to mitigate flooding and ensure seamless traffic flow during rainy seasons.
The dual drainage system, installed on both sides of the road, will facilitate efficient water flow, maintain road integrity, and reduce the risk of accidents.

Additionally, the widened Atiku Abubakar Way, stretching from the shopping complex axis, features designated parking spaces to alleviate traffic congestion.
As a critical thoroughfare connecting various parts of the city, this corridor experiences high vehicular traffic, particularly around the shopping complex.
The road expansion will create additional lanes, reducing congestion and boosting traffic efficiency.
Upon completion, the project is expected to improve access to businesses and residential areas along Atiku Abubakar Way, further solidifying Governor Fintiri’s commitment to urban renewal and development in Adamawa State.
