Abuja hosts Afrojazz festival

Earlier last week, the capital city of Abuja hosted the Afrojazz festival, which included Tosin Salako and other jazz artists. The annual event, which began in 2020, attracted nearly 2,000 jazz fans.

The event’s promoter, Salako, said it took months of planning with his band (the Afro collectives) to put the festival together.

He said: “I do a lot of these things outside the country, I go out for international festivals and I see the way they host their festivals. Back in my country, I am not pretty much impressed, so I decided to organize Afro jazz festival. I am happy that Abuja music lovers are having an experience of a lifetime.
Other artistes that performed were A’Sian, Fewa, Fade Da Great and Afro4Band among others.
