Ahmad Labbo emerges new president of NULGE

Comrade Ahmad Labbo has been elected as the new president of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) a few days after the demise of Ibrahim Khalil, who was the president until his death.

The new president emerged in an election held in Kano on Sunday, and he is expected to complete the tenure of the late president which will end in March, 2021.

Labbo vowed to move the union forward by ensuring the full autonomy of local governments.
