Insecurity: Police to station patrol team at corps members lodges in Bayelsa

The Bayelsa state command of the Nigerian Police Force, says it will station patrol teams at all the corps members lodges in Bayelsa state as soon as the state office of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) provides them with the list of the lodges around the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Sholla David, gave the assurance on Wednesday when the Director General of NYSC, Major General Suleiman Kazaure visited the command as part of his official visit to the state.

According to the police boss “We have moved to get list of the Corps members lodges, so that we can provide patrol team and ensue their safety.

“I assure you that cults attacking corps members will come to an end in this state, cultism and drug-related crimes are a problem but we will get to the end of them,” he stated.

Also, the 16 brigade of the Nigerian Army who also received the NYSC Director General, said that NYSC members who are critical national development agents deserved the protection of all stakeholders.
