The Kaduna State House of Assembly yesterday passed into law a bill to introduce a new official logo for the state.
According to the ‘Kaduna State Logo law, 2015’ all official communications, correspondences and transactions by government establishments should bear the official logo or be regarded as invalid and everyone employed by the state government should ensure compliance.
The logo is to clearly identify and encapsulate the policy thrust of the government by articulating the direction and focus of the key sectors.
Its features include the motto, ‘Work and Worship’, the green vegetation signifying agriculture, economy, abundance and conservation, a crocodile signifying strength, resilience, indestructibility and ancestry as well as a cattle signifying fertility, abundance and nourishment, and Nok signifying history, culture, arts and tourism among others.
