2 killed, 15 arrested over cattle rustling

Two suspected cattle rustlers were killed just as 15 others have been arrested by a team of combined security operatives and vigilante groups in Kankara town.
It was gathered that over 300 rustled cattle were equally recovered from the operation.
An eyewitness told our reporter that the corpse of the deceased and those arrested were brought to the Kankara Divisional Police Station, attracting some residents to the station to catch a glimpse of the arrested and the dead.
He said that recently, there has been an increase in the number of aerial and ground patrols around the dreaded Rugu Forest which served as a hideout for the rustlers.
All efforts to get the spokesman of the police, DSP Sadiq Aminu, to comment on the development proved abortive.
