Xmas: Police ban use of firecrackers in Abuja

He spoke at the presentation of Commendation Awards to 13 selected officers and men of the command in Abuja.
Ogunbayode said during the last quarter of the year, the command raided several criminal hideouts and arrested 67 armed robbers, recovered 30 fire arms and 46 cars.
He also said the command arrested 1,072 criminal elements, some of them aliens who have been handed over to the customs and immigration service.
He added that 643 were charged to court.
