Gunmen kill 2, injure others in Kaduna attack

Police said the attackers stormed the village and fired sporadically before they headed to a particular household where they shot four people.
The gunmen later disappeared before the arrival of a joint security team. A team consisting of mobile policemen, soldiers and a local vigilante group is combing the area and nearby forests to find the gunmen.  Police spokesman DSP Aminu Lawan said the attackers haven’t been traced and no one is suspected until a clue is found. He said two people including a woman died of gun shots in the hospital while two others are still receiving medical attention.
“The unidentified gunmen attacked the village yesterday (Saturday) at night. They shot sporadically at a house and injured four people who were later admitted to a hospital. The head of the family and a woman of about 23 years died later in hospital”, he said, adding that the police are working with a joint security team to apprehend the assailants. Similar attackers had occurred in two villages in the area where a number of people and cows were killed.
