This followed a resolution it passed, directing the executive arm to urgently set up a committee to look into the matter and restore peace and security in the affected border communities.
Member representing Wukari II Constituency, Ishaya Gani, had in a motion of urgent public importance drawn the attention of the House to recent attacks on some border communities in Wukari, Gassol and Ibi local government areas by gunmen suspected to have entered the state from Plataeau and Nasarawa states.
He named some of the affected communities to include Dampar and Sarkin Kudu in Ibi Local Government Area, Fume and Amar in Karim Kamido Local Government Area, Wurbo in Gassol, Nwuban, Sondi, Kente, Chinkai and Akwana in Wukari Local Government Area.
