Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force and that of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) are off the roads and across Polling Units (PUs) in Kano as residents head to the polls, Daily Trust reports.
Our reporter observed that while streets are partially empty with little or no vehicular movement, residents have complied with the State Government’s restriction on movement.
Also, while voters were ready to cast their votes, the election materials have arrived at some polling units.
Only internal security outfits including operatives of the Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA), Kano Corporate Security and Vigilante are observing and currently on duty ensuring that breakdown of law and order is maintained.
