‘Parties lack blueprint to manage Nigeria’s oil, gas sector’

Its General Secretary, Comrade Gbenga Komolafe, said in Lagos at the weekend that the attitude of these politicians to the sector would not augur well for the growth of the country’s economy, which is challenged by the current downward trend in oil prices in the international market.
He said the United States of America and other major importers of Nigeria’s crude now depend on their own shale oil.
According to him: “Even China and other Asian countries currently importing Nigeria’s crude are also furiously developing their own technologies for producing shale oil. FIWON demands realistic action plans from current political contenders on their policy responses to the obviously terribly governed oil and gas sector.”
