Police rescue kidnapped district head, arrest suspects

The Nigeria Police have rescued the kidnapped district head of Tama, Gumau district in Toro local government area of the state.
The district head, Alhaji Adamu Yakubu, was abducted alongside two others by suspected kidnappers on July 31st, 2016.
The Bauchi State police command’s spokesperson, ASP Mahmood Mohammed, said in a statement yesterday that investigation by Police detectives comprising anti-Kidnapping unit and special anti-robbery squad led to the arrest of six suspects.
He gave the names of the arrested suspects as Mohammed Bello, Ado Sanda, Abdul Mohammed, Ibrahim Jime, Ahmadu Sule and Dauda Umaru, all of Jange village in Nabordo. 
ASP Mohammed stated that five Bajaj motorcycles, six handsets, including the one used in negotiating ransom, were recovered from the suspects. 
Similarly, the spokesperson said in the statement that the command’s anti-kidnapping unit had arrested four suspects terrorizing Nabordo, Gumau and Toro.
He gave the names of the four arrested suspects as Wada Da’u, Nura Shehu, Habu A. Mato and Habu Mohammed, all of Jange village.
