Kidnapped Army Colonel found dead

An Army officer, Colonel Samaila Inusa, who was kidnapped on Sunday March 27 in Kaduna, was found dead at about 6.00pm yesterday, the Army said.
A statement from the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, said Colonel Inusa’s body was found in Kaduna, and he was suspected to have been killed on the day he was kidnapped.
“ Preliminary investigation revealed that most likely the late senior officer was killed same day he was kidnapped by his abductors. This is because the body was found already decomposing around Ajyaita village off Eastern Bypass Kaduna, Kaduna State,” he said.
He added that arrangements were being made to move the body to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna.
Colonel Usman warned that whoever was behind his abduction and murder would be fished out to face the full wrath of the law.
The late Colonel was kidnapped while in his Mercedes-Benz car with his wife by some gunmen around Kamazo, along Kaduna Refinery Road in Chikun LGA of Kaduna State.
They dropped off his wife and left with him, heading towards Abuja.
As part of efforts to rescue him, the Army authorities had Monday offered a reward of N1million to anyone with useful information on his whereabouts.
