Driver charged with theft of 35 bags of cashew nuts

A 31-year-old driver, Shittu Seun, was on Wednesday docked in an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, for allegedly stealing 35 bags of cashew nuts

The police charged Seun with two counts of conspiracy and theft before Magistrate L K J Layeni.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, Dr Simon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offence sometime in May at the Abule-Osun Area of Ojo.

Magistrate Layeni admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until Nov. 29 for trial. (NAN)
