Woman arraigned for assaulting neighbour in Ogun

A 30-year-old woman, Esther Tossu, was on Tuesday arraigned in an Ota magistrates’ court in Ogun State for allegedly assaulting her neighbour.

The prosecutor, Insp O. Adaraloye, told the court that the defendant on July 8, at about 7am at No3 Alati Street, Ota, gave her neighbour a slap during a disagreement contrary to Section 351 of the Criminal Code of Ogun, 2006.

The defendant pleaded not guilty, and the Magistrate, A. O. Adeyemi, admitted her to bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to July 27. (NAN)
