There was commotion at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja on Thursday as a group of youths stormed the premises chanting slogans against the party’s National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
The youths, said to be from Kogi State, stormed the party’s headquarters while a meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) was in progress.
They alleged that the ticket of their principal who won a House of Representatives primary was given to another person.

While the youths were threatening that Adamu would not get out of the secretariat, the security operatives rushed and locked the entrance gate.
Following the development, the security operatives pushed journalists out of the secretariat also.
However, the journalists were later asked to identify themselves for security reasons before they were allowed to settle down.
Tinubu takes over Buhari’s campaign office
Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has inherited the campaign office used by President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 election.
The campaign office is located in the central business district of Abuja.
The office was donated to Tinubu days after he was elected at the party’s special convention in Abuja as the flag-bearer.
A statement yesterday by the Director, Media and Communication, Tinubu Campaign Organisation, Bayo Onanuga, said the presidential campaign office of Governor Yahaya Bello, who lost at the APC presidential primary has also been donated to Tinubu.
He said the Buhari campaign office donated to the party’s candidate is equipped with ICT data base, call centre and furnishings.
“The Buhari Campaign Office was the second space donated to the Tinubu campaign. Governor Yahaya Bello also donated his presidential campaign office to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,” he said.
