Ahead of the National convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), slated for March 26, a group in the party, Young Professionals for Progress (YPP) has urged other aspirants to step down for Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
The coordinator of the group, Mr. Babajide Ehindero urged other chairmanship aspirants to step down for Senator Abdullahi Adamu in the interest of party cohesion and the progress of the party.
” Firstly, from the coterie of chairmanship aspirants from the North Central geo-political zone, Senator Abdullahi Adamu is the most experienced to lead the party to total victory in the 2023 general elections.
” Senator Abdullahi Adamu is a founding member of APC who is conscious of the founding principles of the party. He is also a grassroots politician who understands the challenges of the party. He has credibility and the political will to provide all-inclusive leadership for the APC.
“/As a matter of fact, Senator Abdullahi Adamu is a core democrat whose loyalty to the APC is unwavering. He deserves special accolades for mobilizing legislative support for the stability and progress of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration between 2015 and 2019.
” Furthermore, as the Chairman of APC National Reconciliation Committee, Senator Abdullahi Adamu has carried out his duties fairly and excellently well to the admiration of party members. When he emerges National Chairman, he will dispassionately reconcile all aggrieved members of the party,” the statement read.
