8 in police net over kidnapping, robbery, cultism in Delta

 

The police in Delta State have arrested eight persons over alleged armed robbery, kidnapping and cultism.

DSP Bright Edafe, the command’s spokesman, told newsmen on Sunday that the suspects were arrested at Ekpan at the Refinery Junction in Warri; Isiokolo in Ethiope East LGA; and in Oghara, Ethiope West (LGA).

Edafe explained that the suspects were members of Vikings, Eiye and Patriotic Lords Initiative for Justice confraternities and armed robbers and kidnappers.

He gave the names of some of the suspects as Christian Mordi (30), Julius Onoja (29), Obikoko Damian (33), Ochuko Ofoye (34), Odem Hunt (30) and Difference Sunday (18).

Edafe listed the items recovered from the suspects to include a locally made cut-to-size single-barrel gun, one cut-to-size double-barrel pistol and two rounds of live cartridges.
