The Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Umar Mohammed, has ordered the deployment of over 3,000 personnel to beef up security during and after the Sallah celebration.

Umar noted that the deployment would be across the 16 LGAs of the state, with special attention given to high-risk areas.

He instructed his area commanders, tactical commanders and divisional officers to conduct patrols and ensure extensive deployment to guarantee a smooth and safe celebration.

The NSCDC boss warned miscreants, vandals and other potential troublemakers planning to disrupt the peace and order during the festive period, advising them to desist from such actions.

He stressed that the command was fully prepared and equipped to enforce the law, ensuring that offenders faced the full consequences of their actions.
