3 arrested over kidnap of charcoal merchant in Kwara

Three people have been arrested over the kidnapping of a popular charcoal merchant, Sikiru Bosere, in Jebba community in Moro LGA of Kwara State.

Recall that Bosere was abducted alongside one of his workers, Philemon, while they were about to enter his residence in the Camp Life area of Jebba around 10pm.

Speaking with City & Crime, spokesperson of the state police command, Ajayi Okasanmi SP, said their arrest followed the successful rescue of Bosere on Tuesday.

He said, “Following the pressure from the combined team of security agencies, the police, vigilantes and hunters, the kidnappers abandoned the victim and their motorcycle in the bush. It was in the process of escaping that they ran into another set of security; this time the army, and they were arrested.”
