The Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Sami (Gomo II), has called on both the Federal and Kebbi State governments to fund the development of the annual Uhola festival in Zuru community.
The royal father said his community was blessed with important historical sites such as the Germache Shrine, Isgogo Slave Market, Tar D’ wawanta, Zwin Gorge, Sem-D’gyozdne, Karishin Hills, Bululu Falls, Ukulu Walls and the Ancient settlements.
He said, “In view of this, I call on the state and federal governments to fully fund and support the development of Uhola Festival into one of the greatest cultural festivals in North West part of Nigeria.”
The Emir announced that the annual Uhola Festival in his domain would hold from 11 to 14 of April.
