Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum on Saturday visited Rann, headquarters of Kala-Balge Local Government Area where he distributed money to vulnerable persons, including widows to enable them buy food items.
Each of the 8,000 households in the community was given between N10, 000 and N5, 000 in cash because there was no banking service in the area. 5,000 male householders received N10, 000 each, while 3,000 widows received N5, 000 and a 10kg bag of rice each.

The governor reportedly supervised the distribution of N65 million in cash to the beneficiaries to enable them buy food and other basic necessities.
