Borno State governor-elect, Babagana Umara Zulum, has fashioned out a Stakeholders Development Plan (SDP) to fast-track the development of the Southern Borno Senatorial District.
The district comprises Chibok, Damboa, Biu, Hawul, Gwoza, Kwaya/Kusar, Shani, Askira/Uba and Bayo local government areas.
Zulum announced the SDP Tuesday in Maiduguri while addressing the representatives of the people of southern Borno who paid him a congratulatory visit on his victory at the polls. While unfolding the plan the governor-elect said: “I want to tell you one thing; we will go and visit each of nine Local Government Areas in southern Borno and sit down with their Stakeholders to produce a development plan.”
He said the development plan would address the major problems facing the people living in affected councils.
“We ensure you that the most important thing is to work for the people that elected us,” maintaining that the electorates’ benefits of democracy; are highly expected from the elected leaders.
